Its a....

Baby girl!!! :) Our little Audrey Renee.
She didn't show herself on the first try. but a week later she was more than willing.
Audrey is developing normally it seems, and soon we'll find out if there are any issues we should worry about. I think she will be nice and healthy though, and she looks like she'll be a beautiful baby.
I think she actually has my hubby's nose, and the same shape face.
I'm so excited, I can't wait till she is finished baking, and we finally get to meet her.
Hubby is nervous, but I think he'll be a great daddy to a baby girl.
The first picture is a front view of her face, and the 2nd is a profile picture.

Tour of Labor & Delivery

Today Hubby and I got to tour the Labor and Delivery center that our LO will most likely be born in.It was so beautiful, the whole place had a very warm feel to it. The rooms were lovely and pretty large.

You get to have the baby with you at all times after they give LO a bath/checkup. They let us know that by the time I come in January that they will have new furniture so the old stuff that they have will be gone. Honestly, the furniture didn't look too bad, but new sounds good to me!!

They have 12 rooms, and they normally get 4 ladies a day they have a vaginal birth. I didn't think to ask about the actual delivery room, or if that was it. I'll ask my OBGYN at the appointment Wednesday.

They have 2 operating rooms also for C sections.

What freaks me out though is that they can only have 4 babies in the nicu... If baby needs extra help they will send him to a better hospital, and you will come with. I guess its not so bad, you get to go with baby regardless... but still it makes me nervous.

It was so quiet... nothing like what I thought it would be, There was a lady checking in when we got there, and a family that was playing with their new baby with the room open. I guess they were on their way out.

It was a nice little tour... it was only 30 minutes of tour... so short, but nice.

Soooo we're expecting!

We found out on May 2, 2010 that we were pregnant! Woot!
This is our first baby and we had just started trying a month before.
We honestly thought it would take MONTHS, so the fact that it happened so quickly really surprised me.
I wasn't thinking about pregnancy much, but my husband noticed that I was very tired on one of our drives. I couldn't stay awake at all!
Sucks... lol because we went to a place that sells a lot of different types of soda... and I found this coffee soda... that I actually liked.
So right before drinking my hubby suggested I take one...
I didn't want to. I hated taking pregnancy test, get my hopes up, and finding out I wasn't.

Anyways I went, did my thing, and waited for the results.
Within a minute it said POSITIVE!

It didn't even give me enough time to go get my hubby in the other room!
So after the shock wore off I ran to the living room, and told hubby.
He was so excited. Probably in as much shock as I was.

Soon after taking the test, we got a blood test to confirm.
That too came back positive.

On what was suppose to be 9 weeks we went for our first doctors appointment.
Michael was due to leave for training that weekend, and we wanted to see if we could see the baby.
The nurse made up an excuse for us to see how far along I was, and we found out I was actually 6 weeks along, not 9!

Michael left that weekend, and all was good for a few days.
I ended up having some bleeding and I thought that for sure I was having a miscarriage.
I went in for a few blood test, and I found out I was B- blood type... Not B+ like I was told by my parents.
Anywhoo... I got another ultrasound to see if baby was okay.

I heard heartbeat at 10 weeks
and Hubby heard it at 13 weeks.
All is good!
Now I am 15 weeks tomorrow.

In Oklahoma

We've made it to OKC, its actually pretty nice.
The plane ride wasn't as bad as we thought.
Our kitties did very well, didn't even make a peep.
They are pretty much back to normal, and eating fine.

Weather wise we haven't had any problems. It looks like possible snow in the next few days.
We are very much looking forward to this, after years and years of just plain sunshine.
LOL yes, I am a sunshine hater! GRRRR.
I am already loving it here.

We drove by what is hopefully our next home, and although its purple outside, it actually looks very very nice!
Wayyyyy better than what we had before.
This is going to be good!

Last Night in the House

Wow.... I can't believe it's the last night in this house.
If you would have asked me a couple of weeks ago I probably would have told you it couldn't come soon enough.

I had my last day at work on Saturday.
I will truly miss the store so much. I made some really great friends there.

It seems to be coming on so fast, but I'm looking forward to Oklahoma.
So many new experiences coming, and I'm excited to get started.

Its been over a year 1/2! Yikes!

Long time no post I guess, lol since I got my hubby back I kind of ....really....slacked off.
Sorry guys!
Michael has been back for a year and a half already.
Still no baby, but hopefully moving closer to family will give us the opportunity to start trying again.
We're being stationed at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. Pretty excited to be close to family again.
We've missed being able to take road trips, and see new sites, but I am truthfully going to say that I will miss Hawaii. Besides the beauty, it has also brought us some good friends for life.
Hawaiian has provided many many blessings for us.
We will miss the beautiful beaches, and nice weather. LOL
Sunny weather 24/7 gets boring after the first 2 years.
We can't wait to experience new things in Oklahoma.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly.

So we are at 1 week till flying out.

YAY!!!!
I also got a new hair cut
what do you think
opinions are loved!

Just give us a date!

I think I'm going nuts from all the waiting.
We still don't have a due date, but I'm honestly just tired.
I want him home as soon as possible, and I have very little patients when its something I really want.
I wish they would just give him a due date and get it over with.
Even if he is extended
I just want to know what is up.
I need to know something, if I don't I can't ask for those days off, and there might be a chance I can't get it off because its just random like that.
I'm sure my coworkers will understand, but its not something I want to do to them.
Bleh I just hate all this extra stress. I don't need that.
Other then being frustrated I'm doing fine.
Michael is doing good too, just working and getting ready to come home.
I'm trying to keep positive, but not have at least something to go on is just driving me nuts.
Just 10% left...
that is it...
I hope these next to weeks don't drag....
I'm really crossing my fingers here.

Over 75% There

We're almost done with this deployment.
I'm so excited!
I honestly can't keep it inside sometimes.
Michael is doing good, mostly tired, but that is nothing new.
I'm so ready for this to be over.
We also decided where we want to go next.
I'm really excited, hopefully we'll get it.
If not I'll be happy where ever God sends us.

Baked Spaghetti

Baked Spaghetti link
Oh my gosh I tried this recipie for our tuesday night bible study
and it turned out great!

Here is a pasted version of it.
I wish I would have taken a picture, but honestly it looks the same almost as the one on the website.
I also added some mushrooms to it and I really liked them in there :)
anyways! Super easy recipe! Give it a try!
2 cups canned diced tomatoes
2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 1/2 teaspoons House Seasoning, recipe follows
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning salt
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
2 small bay leaves
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
8 ounces uncooked angel hair pasta
1 cup grated cheddar
1 cup grated Monterey Jack

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a stockpot, combine the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, onions, peppers, garlic, parsley, seasoning mixtures, sugar, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil over high heat, and then reduce the heat and let simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Crumble the ground beef in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until fully cooked, with no pink color remaining. Drain the fat from the meat, and then add the ground beef to the stockpot. Simmer for 20 more minutes. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Cover the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan with sauce. Add a layer of pasta and then a little less than 1/2 of each cheese; repeat the layers, ending with the sauce. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Top the casserole with the remaining cheese, return it to the oven, and continue to cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5 more minutes. Cut into squares before serving.

House Seasoning:
1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Yield: 1 1/2 cups
Preparation tine: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ease of Preparation: Easy

And He says "I love you, I'll call you tomorrow."

For the last couple of days he has been waking me up at 5:30 or so am.
LOL now I wake up at that time regardless of he calls or not.
Just as I was about to post this he calls at 6:40 .
*yes I'm online that early*Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I almost gave up hope. Funny man...
and then he says those sweet wonderful words
"I love you, I'll call you tomorrow"Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Those words just make my heart melt.
We haven't fought during a conversation yet, but even if it wasn't all that great,
the hope that he will try his best to call me back tomorrow makes it all worth it.
Everyday I honestly feel like I love him more and more.
As much as my body minds the lack of sleep
Its so worth it to hear his voice every morning when I wake up.
I just love him.Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Should we stay? (or should we go go...)

So should we extend? Or should we go...
I don't know how long the tour will be if we do....

Good Points about leaving the island

  • Starting out a new adventure!
  • Chance to see my friends and family again.
  • Making more and wonderful friends
  • Enjoy something different
  • Having a new house *hopefully*
  • We might get to be back in the mainland
  • OR we might be overseas again!
  • Get a chance to visit a different country *maybe*
  • OR if we get the mainland we can take road trips again!
I'm sure there are more reason to go! I just haven't thought of it yet. When I was a child a huge part of my dream was to travel... I'm also scared that if we stay this tour I won't be able to leave it once that ends...
*I will if I have to, but by then I'll be attached*

Why I don't want to leave

  • have to leave my wonderful friends *even though I know they are my friends for life*
  • living here is wonderful
  • Won't be able to experience things on the island anymore
  • Too expensive to visit here.
Regardless... living here we'll still have all those wonderful memories that all our great friends have provided.Image and video hosting by TinyPic
If this is part of God's plan I am not going to fight it one bit. I know its for the best, and that he isn't sending us anywhere to punish us. No place will ever be like here, but home is where God sends us.
Not where the military sends us.
Where GOD sends us.
He has the final say on all things.
Either way, we've been greatly blessed.
I thank God for all of thisImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Albondigas <3

http://mexicanfood.about.com/od/boilbraisesteamsimmer/r/albondigas.htm

It was my first time trying Albondigas by myself and it turned out great!
I'm so proud of myself
I'm glad it was such a good hit with all my friends!

Anyways!
here is the recipe

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 2 hours,
Ingredients:

* 1 lb ground beef (or combination of 1/2 lb beef and 1/2 lb chorizo)
* 1/2 cup rice (uncooked)
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon cumin
* 3 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
* 3 quarts chicken broth
* 4 stalks of celery, chopped
* 3 white onions, cut into quarters
* 1 bunch cilantro, leaves only
* 4 large carrots, peeled and chopped or sliced
* 2 cups greens (mustard, spinach or other)
* 2 teaspoons of oregano
* 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
* 1 teaspoon cumin

Preparation:
Mix ground beef with rice, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of salt and the crushed garlic. Form 1 1/2 tablespoons into a meatball by rolling it between your hands until it forms a ball. Do this with all of the meat until it is all formed into meatballs.

Bring broth to a boil in a large pot. Turn down to a slow simmer (where there are hardly any bubbles) and add in meatballs. Simmer gently for 20 minutes.

Add in the carrots, onion, cilantro, remaining spices, garlic and celery. Simmer for 1 hour and 15 minutes minutes or until rice in meatballs is cooked through. Add in the greens and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.

Serve hot with fresh flour tortillas.

I added small red potatoes
With a 1 1/2 cups rice to the actual soup.
Also if you can find some consome de pollo just add to taste.
Looks like this on the mexican section
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Also add some lemon juice to it once served.
I find it taste better to me if you use corn tortillas rather then flour, but that's just my opinion.
Anyways!
Hope you girls like thisImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Shhhh

I really really REALLY hate the word "shhhh". There doesn't exist a word that makes me feel more like a child then that one word. I honestly hate it so much! It makes me feel so stupid, as if I can't even express myself. I feel like if I'm locking my feelings in.
AND what drives me more NUTS is when my HUSBAND shushes me!!!!
WTH!!!!
There was no reason for it, it wasn't in a romantic way. I can't stand it and I feel so pissy!
I know he doesn't mean it but just don't shush me! He knows it makes me feel terrible and he still chooses to do it this way.
Blah!
grrr!!!!
>.<
